Office Hours are 12 PM to 4 PM, or by appointment if you are unable to make it during those times. Just call or email the manager and we will find a time that works for you.
While Shelbourne provides a furnished apartment home for your use, you will need to provide the following:
Personal linens in size twin XL, including a full mattress pad. BYU-I Housing Guidelines and your
contract require use of a mattress pad (separate from your fitted sheet) by all residents.
Bath and hand towels
Pots and pans (You might wish to check with your roommates to avoid unnecessary duplication of kitchen items)
Dishes and silverware
Laundry Supplies (HE detergent, fabric softener, etc.)
Laundry is free, with new Whirlpool full size front load washers and dryers in each unit.
If there is a problem that poses an immediate safety issue or danger of property damage (e.g. a water leak) please notify the manager immediately. If after hours, please go to the manager’s apartment unit. For less urgent issues please complete the Maintenance Request form on the Shelbourne Apartments website under Contact Us or click here.
Please see check-in above, the same rules apply. All students must check out with the manager, even if they are staying in their apartment for the next semester.
Quiet time hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. No loud noises or other disturbances that might annoy or bother others are allowed during these times. Please be respectful of everyone and adhere to quiet time.
Check in and check out dates are established by the school. Everyone is expected to follow the dates and times unless prior arrangements have been made with the manager. Students arriving early or leaving late will be charged a daily rental rate. All students, even those staying over the semester break or returning from the previous semester, are expected to check in with the manager.
Our Internet provider is Optix. They provide the fastest internet available in Rexburg. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the complex, but Ethernet service is not available. If you are having problems with the internet please contact the Optix help desk at 208-242-3711.
Yes, a reasonable cost of utilities are included in the rent.
Broulim's is 6 blocks from Shelbourne. They offer a delivery service for $8 if you place your order in person. There is also a student-run delivery service.
Yes, we have individual furnaces and A/C units for each apartment.
Bicycles may be parked in the stairwells as long as they do not impede pedestrians or block access to the stairs.
Yes, Shelbourne has a Kawai piano for students who wish to use it. It is located in our lounge.
The lounge and exercise room are open 8 AM to Midnight.
Rent is expected to be paid in full prior to or at check-in. Please plan accordingly. You may pay online or in person at the office. We do not accept cash. Personal checks, Money Orders and credit or debit cards are accepted. There is a convenience fee for using credit and debit cards.
You must have a properly displayed permit to park in our parking lot. Cars without a permit will be booted or towed. Permits are available on a first-come, first served basis, and will not be issued until the parking permit fee has been paid. This can be paid online or in person at the office. Visitor parking is located at the south end of the parking lot and is clearly marked.
Shelbourne is Located 2 blocks away from the south part of campus, the Austin, Benson and Taylor buildings. It is about a 10-minute walk to the center.
